Research and Development and of Traffic Flow Sensors Integrated into Smart Roads

Project no.: S-MIP-21-34

Project description:

The project is devoted to create combined traffic sensors integrated into smart roads, which detect the maximum number of transport flow parameters. The project includes various technologies (3D magnetic, piezoelectric, 3D accelerometers, microphones) for creating the minimal size, integrated to the pavement, energy-efficient traffic flow sensors.

Project funding:

Projects funded by the Research Council of Lithuania (RCL), Projects carried out by researchers’ teams

Project results:

Developed smart roads integrated energy-efficient wireless multiparameter traffic flow sensor is expected to be competitive in the market, will have commercialization potential and sensor integration into the traffic flow control systems let to improve its operational efficiency.
