Research and Development of Prototype of Low Noise Ventilation Diffuser for Ultra Penetrative Probiotics Colonisation System

Project no.: J05-LVPA-K-04-0059

Project description:

Project coordinator: UAB “Fabricair, Denmark
Project partner: Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania
The idea of the project is development of the UltraPKS technology, easily integrated into a silent, textile diffuser and maintaining the cleanliness of the environment in conditions of various pollution.
A conventional mixing ventilation system supplies conditioned air to the room by a diffuser located in the ceiling. In displacement ventilation cool air is supplied through a diffuser located at the floor level in summer. In the heating season heat is delivered by a separate hot water system, while the diffuser supplies fresh air to maintain the indoor air quality. Each system has its own important advantages and can be used together with UltraPKS developed technology.

Project funding:

This research project is funded by European Regional Development Fund according to the 2014–2020 Operational Programme for the European Union Funds’ Investments under measure No. J05-LVPA-K “Intellect. Joint Science-Business Projects”

Project results:

Silent, compact, hygienic textile ventilation system with a technology of ultra-penetrating probiotic mixture diffusion has been developed. This system is easy to install even in the smallest rooms: it can successfully work installed both in the ceiling and in the floor. On the base of developed technology three products have been designed: silent textile diffuser installed in the suspended ceiling, silent textile diffuser installed in the floor and ultra-penetrating probiotic mixture colonization system (UltraKPS). The developed technology of ultra-penetrating probiotic mixture colonization system (UltraKPS) ensures optimal and safe process of spreading the probiotic mixture in space while maintaining the viability of probiotic bacteria. The research results showed a dynamically changed concentration of particles in the supplied air that must be taken into account while controlling algorithms of probiotic colonization.
